Date; Wednesday 23rd July, 2008. Place; Osprey residence Dodd Wood, Keswick, Cumbria. Time; 10.30 am; Flap, flap, flap, flap, flap Young male Osprey with a white ring on foot lifts off a few metres only to descend onto the other side of the nest, more practice needed before joining sisters.

Date; Thursday 24th July 2008. Place; Osprey residence Dodd Wood, Keswick, Cumbria. Time ; 10.30 am. Flap, flap, flap, flap, flap Young male Osprey with a white ring on foot lifts off a metre, two metres, three metres  does not land on other side of nest but is taken by the up draft above the nest. Third Osprey chick has left the nest, third Osprey chick has fledged. Shaky landing was to follow but now all three Lake District Osprey Project chicks have successfully fledged and are doing well.
