Seeing Mrs down on the water is always a welcome, although short lived pleasure at the Lower Viewpoint. She still does not like leaving the chicks for any length of time, so as any mother knows, there is no opportunity for lingering in the bathroom. Today she satisfied herself with 2 or 3 quick plunge dives on the wing. On the last splash she came up carrying a waterlogged stick extracted from the mouth of the river. Then she turned and with a vigorous shake set off back to the nest. Multi-tasking against the clock seems to be the nemesis of even the most laid back housewife.
