We have many visitors who come to the Lake District Osprey Project. Some are tall, some are short, some thin and some stout. Some have long legs, some have short legs. Some have long hair, some have short hair, and some even have curly hair. Some are black, some are brown, some are white, some have large spots, some have small spots. Some have long tails, some have short tails. Whatever the size, shape, colour or breed we always give a good welcome to our canine visitors. We even treat them better than their owners, we do not provide a bowl of water at every viewpoint for the owners, they have to wait until they return to the splendid Sawmill Tearooms for their refreshment. The only thing we do ask is that our canine friends are kept on a short lead at the Whinlatter Visitor Centre and under close control at the Dodd Viewpoints, especially the lower one where we feed the Red Squirrels. The Lake District Osprey Project welcomes all visitors, even Human ones!
