Bassenthwaite

No birds back on site at present. One osprey seen at north end of lake on Monday 31st  Mar -believed to be passing through

RutlandSite B

03 the resident male has returned Friday 28th Mar and is waiting for 05 the resident female. 03 has been at this site since 2000—he built the nest here and the first successful breeding was in 2001. The female 05 joined him in 2003

RutlandManton Bay site

Manton Bay site. Male bird 08 has returned (Saturday 29th March) and also female 5N (Sunday 30th March) [This female is the first wild fledged English bird, from a Rutland nest in 2004, to return to an English site to breed.] 

 

Wales

Glaslyn

Resident Male arrived on Wednesday 26th March (same day as last year) - he has been on site since 2004 (first breeding here). Female unringed, beleived to be the same as in previous year, arrived on Thursday 27th March

 

Scotland

Loch Garten

EJ, resident female, arrived on site Wednesday 26th March.As yet no males have arrived on site --but if previous years are anything to go by there could be a few interesting arrivals 

Wigtown

A male believed to be  EP arrived on Sunday evening (30th March) 

Loch of Lowes

Resident female, unringed, who is 19+ years old arrived Sunday 30th March.

Glen Tress

The unringed resident female arrived on Sunday 30th March Nest site 2 ,referred to as the ‘back up’ nest Currently no news
